Some might say Eurovision is over for the year, but the truth is, Eurovision is never over! If you haven't guessed, I'm a big fan, and because May is both the month of this fantastical music contest AND the bookish Wyrd and Wonder, I thought I'd mash the two together to create something weird and wonderful (pun intended). The premise is simple: any outfits/stage looks that took my fancy, whether during the premier, or the show itself, paired with a fantasy book cover I think matches its colours and vibes.

2021: My Year in Books
For those who know me, I've always been a book lover, but the last couple of years have seen me a little more hyper-focused on reading than usual - I started writing on this blog, I joined book twitter and met other bloggers, readers, and writers, and I've been working in a bookshop where I… Continue reading 2021: My Year in Books

Review: Little Thieves by Margaret Owen
Vanja Schmidt knows that no gift is freely given, not even a mother's love. The adopted goddaughter of Death and Fortune, Vanja has long made her own way in the world as the dutiful servant of Princess Gisele. Until a year ago, when her otherworldly mothers demanded payment for their care, and Vanja decided to steal her future back . . . by stealing Gisele's life. With the help of an enchanted string of pearls, Vanja transformed into her former mistress and took her place, leaving the real Gisele a penniless nobody. Now, Vanja leads a lonely but lucrative double life as princess and jewel thief, charming the nobility while emptying their coffers to fund her great escape. Until, one heist away from freedom, Vanja crosses the wrong god and is cursed to turn into jewels, stone by stone. With a feral guardian half-god, Gisele's sinister fiancé, and an overeager junior detective on her tail, Vanja has just two weeks to pull off her biggest grift yet, or she risks losing more than her freedom - she could lose her life.
September Wrap Up
To be honest, I couldn't wait for September to come to an end, which is probably why it felt very long, but in terms of reading I think it was quite a good month! But before I get into the reading, the reason I was excited for the end of September was a little holiday… Continue reading September Wrap Up
Wyrd & Wonder: Highly Anticipated Books
Day 17 of the Wyrd & Wonder prompt challenge is 'Can't Wait to Read' - books on your TBR or up and coming series. Given this, I thought I'd talk about some of the books that are coming out this year between June and December that I cannot wait to get my hands on! There may be some that I've mentioned a few times on the blog, but I haven't included any ARCs I've already read, even if their release date is June, and for those you can look back through my reviews! So, here are 21 fantasy books that I am really looking forward to for the rest of 2021:
