April 2022 Wrap Up

It's the end of April, which means only one thing... [insert gif here] It's gonna be May! And with May comes the joy of Wyrd & Wonder! But more on that tomorrow... For now I'm going to be looking back on April and how I somehow managed to read 15 books in one month, including my current Book of the Year.

March 2022 Warp Up

March has been a weird month - I was in South Africa on holiday for the first two weeks of the month, and as I wasn't keeping track of days it almost felt like the passing time didn't count. I was very confused then, when I got back, to find myself in the middle of… Continue reading March 2022 Warp Up

February 2022 Wrap Up

Somehow, I have repeated my January feat of 10 books for this month as well, taking me up to 20 total for the year so far! I'm not really fussed about reaching a high target at all, but I think my desire to plow through the TBR and clear my shelves for new things has… Continue reading February 2022 Wrap Up

January 2022 Wrap Up

I feel like I say this in every wrap up post, but the last month has been both the longest one and also I can't believe another January has already come to an end. This time last year I was furloughed and this year I am exhausted from work - both have grateful moments but… Continue reading January 2022 Wrap Up

SciFiMonth Wrap Up & Mini Reviews

It’s the last day of November, which means my first SciFiMonth is coming to an end. Back in May, when doing Wyrd and Wonder, I said to myself I probably wouldn’t join in on the SF equivalent, because I’d only just read one or two SF novels and didn’t have enough lying around to be able to dedicate a month to the genre. But I had forgotten that I am an unstoppable force when it comes to buying books, and by the middle of the year I found myself in possession of quite a few SF books, as well as multiple NetGalley ARCs. And so, I have spent the last 30 days enjoying and discovering this genre, which is a great way to head towards the end of the year. I don’t have the time, sadly, to give each book the individual review they deserve, so I thought I’d do a SciFiMonth Mini Review roundup to look back on some of my latest reads!

October Wrap Up

This month has been a bit of a blur, and work has been very intense, with an emotional breakdown during the middle of a shift and a weird twitching that has started in my eyes, but it's over now and im looking at November as a fresh start - I'll talk more about that later.… Continue reading October Wrap Up

September Wrap Up

To be honest, I couldn't wait for September to come to an end, which is probably why it felt very long, but in terms of reading I think it was quite a good month! But before I get into the reading, the reason I was excited for the end of September was a little holiday… Continue reading September Wrap Up

August Wrap Up

August saw me go back to full time at work, which is why this blog has been a little quieter lately, as I only have time to dedicate to writing on days off, and my reading time has also diminished, though I do read most evenings and during work breaks. Despite that, I did hit… Continue reading August Wrap Up

July Wrap Up

It's a few days into August, which is my birthday month, yay! 25 here I come... I have some celebrations prepared that will involve a lot of pampering, food, and -of course- books! I may talk a bit about it at the end of the month, in August's wrap-up, but for now, let's have a… Continue reading July Wrap Up
